Dear Member,
In our continuing efforts to promote Hellenism amongst our youth, we are very pleased to announce that we will once again recognize students of Roumeliotan descent for their scholastic achievements. We will be awarding a maximum of 3 scholarships of $1,000.00 each to the most qualified applicants. The awards will be announced at our upcoming 61st convention in, which will take place on... through... 2006, and will be presented by the local Districts, if the winning Students are not at the Convention.
In order to be fair, we need to notify as many qualified students as possible of this opportunity. As individuals of Hellenic descent, we should feel the augments to uphold the beliefs and ideals of the Greek Culture. Some of the primary aspects of our culture include determination, discipline, commitment, hard work, and the desire to succeed. We are confident that you agree this scholarship program can instill and reinforce these Greek ideals within our Roumeliotan youth community.
Enclosed you will find the scholarship application. We ask that you please forward this information to students, which you feel qualify to receive this high honor.
